2016-2017 WINTER SHARE REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED

SHARE OPTIONS:

VEGETABLE (organic): $80

This is a 4 week membership share. Produce is from the Golden Earthworm fields, boxed up, and delivered to Alewife.  Please note that our vegetable share box is significantly smaller this year (with a lower price reflected).  Feedback from wintershare members in years past indicated that the poundage was way too much to consume and that it was a negative aspect of the problem.  We got the message and we’ve lightened it up!  Anyone who would like more quantity should order multiple shares.

Each box would contain approximately 10lbs of mixed root crops and greens, which may include any of the following: Sweet Potatoes, Carrots, Beets, Potatoes, Rutabaga, Kohlrabi, Watermelon Radish, and possibly Kale, Spinach & Arugula.. You must have a vegetable share to qualify for add-on shares.

Add-On APPLE CIDER: $18

This is a non-organic apple cider share (1/2 gallon jug) provided by Briermere Farms in Riverhead, NY. While the cider is not organic, the farm however, uses its own leaf compost to eliminate the need for chemical fertilizer and implements integrated pest management to reduce the need for insecticides. Herbicides have not been used in many years. You can read more about the farm’s growing practices here.

Add-On APPLES: $26

These are non-organic apples (4 lb bag) provided by Briermere Farms as well.
